This is drawn entirely in black ink pen.
A character I've made and consistantly thought of. She's not a pleasure to have around, as you can see. Her wings have withered away from her being 'Fallen,' thus she seeks to gain them back. Eventually, she grows jealous of her counter part, a holy male wolf, pelt white as the virgin snow and attacks him. She takes his wings, turning them black with her hatred and bitterness corrupted in her soul. On rage, she can go on killing sprees to feed herself, enjoying the bloodshed ever so much. However, her mind is not always evil, for she must cooperate with her lighter half, in order to store balance between everything good and evil, creating a middle ground. She holds the key to cunningness, focus, jealousy, anger, hate, willpower, and reason. She is the Spirit of Shadows. I have yet to name her. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I've decided to call her Umbraddatra, "Umbra." The translation in Latin is along the roots of "Shadow Bringer." I liked the Annan idea from ~SunnyThunderintheAir, however, I felt a bit quakey about using an existing Celtic legend name, as I didn't really want to make this part of Celtic mythology. Plus, I also would've taken the name Dragda, but the form isn't the same wolf form that I wanted her counter part. Instead, I'll just dub that name to the white stag she follows at one point. |

The texture on this picture is simply amazing in any medium, let alone the simple pen!
The positions of the birds really add to the almost spooky or forlorn feeling I get from this picture.
The main focus of the picture, the yet unnamed winged one, simply embodies menace with her threatening stance and empty eyes.
I believe what really makes this picture is the almost feral quality of the pen strokes. They make it feel more as if it was drawn with emotion, rather than simply sketched.
Wonderfully done and favorited without regret.

Pen was very fun to use, and I loved experimenting the different positions for flying birds (I don't usually draw birds and I've used this to practice with wings).
I'm glad you got the correct mood I was trying to interpret with this drawing.
This comment brough up my self-confidence as an artist. Thanks dearly for the kind words.

For names: At the moment I have one suggestion. THERE IS NO NEED TO LISTEN TO MY BLABBERING, naming is just one of my favorite things to do; ask WolfieP, I helped with the name Apollyon for her story.
My idea was kinda dumb, but here goes: Annan. It's the true name of the Morrígan, the celtic Goddess of War, Death, and Prophecy. The name (morrigan) means either '

That rip in the space time continuum is so not my fault.
ish.
Oh no! I love that idea.
Actually, I really like the name Dagda for her counter-part. He looks pretty much like her, only pure white with sky blue eyes (originally dark blue, but I think I overused that idea). Of course, she does a much better job at keeping low profile than him (she has no shame taking human form for cover, while he was too pride-bound).
Eh, I'm not really making a huge story. But, I still feel like they need names.

The only difference I'd see between White Wolf *whispers in an important tone* by Purple, and Dagda, is that Dagda's most well known form is a stag. (He actually has blue eyes

That's funny, because I actually made up on scene where the wingless black wolf follows a white stage, character in similar association as her counter-part. Mind you, I didn't hear about this legend before, but I have seen white deer in parks.
